I recently had made a thread asking based on my band what would you play, I was looking for a new bass as a backup/different tuning(drop c)

Well I think I got myself a new main player instead. I went looking just try try out a few basses and happened upon a used 07 american pbass, picked it up, and it played amazingly, perfect set up/initiation, neck was smooth... I had to have it, and as a bonus it did have the ohsc as well with keys...

Was not expecting to buy a bass today, but I couldn't help it.. For reference I was looking at buying hwy 1 p, 70s p, or sbmm ray34.... Well time to go play some more.... And people won't like this but, I am not a fan of the tort guard, it's gonna go

Yeh black pg is what I'm thinking... Not sure about when the bridge started, the serial is good for either 07 or 08 so I guess it's possible. Ill have to pop off the neck and see what i find. Believe it or not I picked it up at guitar center for the same price or less than I've seen them forsale in here. Guess I just figured they dated it properly

My 07 jazz has the high-mass bridge too. If the serial number indicates 07 thats when it was made. Mine was shipped directly to GC and I took it out of the factory box there in early march 08. So yes the basses with the high-mass bridge didn't appear in stores till 08 but they were being produced in late 07.
