Week six already? Washington State is for real. Washington still might be, but we don't know. Probably won't know after this week, either. Current projections show the Pac-12 being frozen out of the playoffs. Fortunately, there's a few more games to play before that's an issue.

Ivies are in full entertainment mode. I wish they were easier to follow.

Homecoming for Dartmouth, Yale is in town.
The game is on ESPN3, which I think I can get.

LSU comes to the Swamp, and I am not so nervous about this game anymore.
If Florida scores at least two points in the LSU game, they will set a new FBS record, 366 games played without being shut out. They are currently tied with Michigan at 365.

Check out Coach Charlie Strong and his USF Bulls sitting at #22 in the nation on a 10 game winning streak.

Cougs play Oregon, and at last report the Duck QB is out. I will be watching that game with GREAT interest. I see no reason the Cougs can't continue unbeaten.

The only thing as sweet as beating the huskies or U$C is beating Oregon.

And BTW - the man who built Oregon into a football power as athletic director a couple of decades ago is a Coug! His name is Bill Moos, and he's now the athletic director at WSU. You can bet that the Oregon game is circled on his calendar every year.

Washington plays Cal. I expect both UW and WSU to remain undefeated this week. This is shaping up to be a pretty good year for college football here in the upper left corner.

I'm frustrated that the Apple Cup is in Seattle this year. If it were in Pullman the omens would be in alignment for a GameDay appearance. The Stanford game on Nov. 4 may be a possibility....

I'm hoping O'Korn and Chris Evans have worked a bit on building chemistry this "improvement" week. It was time for Speight to take a seat anyway so the injury was fortuitous.

The defense has been a revelation considering the mass exodus of talent. The young guys decided they were not going to be the reason this Michigan team doesn't win. Not surprising from a Jim Harbaugh squad. He elicits an almost fanatical player buy-in. Air Force and that triple option put the team to task on perimeter containment and the trick play fest of Purdue forced them to be hyper aware of their assignments. A few hiccups here and there but they passed muster imo.

Mich. State and Penn St. looming on the horizon soon. The Wolverines need some offense to help the defense out.

edit: Thanks Mike :P

You should know better @Funky Ghost. Penn and Penn State are two completely different schools. I know that you know that, so just poking some fun at you.
Your Wolverines should feel very fortunate you don't have to play Dartmouth this season.
My Gators didn't beat your boys, but my guys in Hanover would for sure. :D

You know, I didn't even catch that Mike :) I'm a bit thick today haha

The one I keep looking back to on that schedule, honestly, is the Maryland game. If they can get their QBs to learn to slide and stay healthy DJ Moore is a force. He could cause a lot of problems.

Pre noon football is an abomination.

Also an abomination on a Football Saturday. Football Saturday’s are for getting up after 8am, having a leisurely breakfast over an actual newspaper, taking the bus down to St. John’s for the skull session and then going to the VC to watch the game, unless you have tickets, which I don’t.

I thought you were of a certain age? I'm only 53 and I find I've become my Grandfather. I'm awake sometimes around 4:30 - 5:00. No alarm. Just wide ass awake. I have illusions of sleeping in, but they never seem to find fruition.
