Washington plays Oregon. This is the game we find out if Washington is any good and if Oregon has slipped or if last week was an anomaly for both teams.

Ohio State will slumber through another game and win anyway. Who are they playing? The Cougs will demolish Oregon State. The Cougs seem like they are going to be very good over the second half of the season. Utah is already making its point.

And maybe Yale will be finished with midterms and will show up this week.

Big, big week for Florida. Down their starting QB, and heading into Death Valley for a night game against the current favorite for the Heisman. The toughest place to play a college football game in my opinion, at night at least.

Still, I am taking Florida. I think they can get a handle on Fournette and the defense leads them to a win while Harris eases back into his job.

Dartmouth has their version of a cupcake game this week, Central Connecticut State. A powerhouse (kidding) from the Northeast Conference. In Connecticut. It could very well be finals and heavy academic studying week for the Big Green this week and they forgot to make the road trip Yale did last week to Hanover. UNH blew out CCSU a couple weeks ago, so I hope a second NH team does the same to them. Well, not a blowout. I'll take a 6-3 win.

I totally want UW to take out Oregon this weekend.

We'll see about this - they're playing a 5-1 Penn State that took care of Indiana much more handily than Ohio did.

I think the big 10 is going to take another week or two to figure out where each team truly stands. As a Michigan Alum, I haven't been this excited for our football team in years. Nobody expected the turn-around to be this quick, but we're the favorites against Michigan State this weekend :)

Sad day for college football. Spurrier's one of the best ever in my (admittedly biased) view, not to mention one of those classic characters that make following the sport so much fun. UF owes him a debt that can never be repaid.

Sark got the boot at USC. It sounds like he needs to check into rehab and get sober before he does anything else. That's a tough place to be, and I wish him the best in getting it all back together.

As usual, I'm a hopeful pessimist when it comes to the Huskies taking on the Ducks. The proper order of the world needs to be reasserted, with the Ducks getting knocked around on a repeated basis by the Huskies, but that hasn't happened for how many years? 13? 14? I don't know. Too long! They will be closer to full strength against UW than they have for a long time, so the Huskies are going to have to play lock-down pass defense and do better on offense to get the win. On the good side, Oregon doesn't seem to have much of a defense. Either that or they have played some powerhouse offenses. I would put WSU in that category this year.

I do miss the annual rivalry game, though the vitriol on social media and around the water cooler during game week became a little much to take at times. I think BYU's big issue for the Pac would be that they do not play on Sundays. Wouldn't be a big deal for football but may cause issues for other sports. I've also heard that they weren't seriously considered due to the school not being as focused on research as the rest of the Pac-12.

Here in Utah you now get news articles nearly every football season about what BYU has to do to get into the Big 12. It amuses me that they're fans (and my brother in law is about as die hard as you can be) talk about how independence is best for BYU but then talk about how they wish they were in the Big 12. Though, that's less embarrassing than the amount of Utah fans that have Pac-12 stickers on their cars. Some are Utah stickers with the Pac-12 logo embedded within, some are just plain Pac-12 stickers. The goal seems to be rubbing it in BYU's face that they aren't in a P5 conference but it seems a little pathetic to me, even as a pretty big Ute fan.

Just when you think you're out, they (Mike) pull you back in! :D

This is my first TB post in many weeks! I've watching football though of course. Looking forward to Bama/A&M and Florida/LSU this weekend. Not sure if Bama can stop A&M and score enough points to win. Depends on which team shows up. I have to pull for LSU this weekend simply because it will bolster our schedule strength when we play them. Losing Grier should make that easier.

I'm also entertained by the Auburn dumpster fire! I remember it was this time last year that a bunch of Auburn folks were running around saying Malzahn is the best coach in the state if not all of CFB. Gus also said Muschamp was the best defensive mind in all of CFB. Both comments made for a good snicker then. Even better one now.

Auburn dumpster fire, I like it. I wasn't a Muschamp fan even when he was at Florida, so part of me is enjoying watching him fail at Auburn too. Maybe he should have just stayed at Texas and waited his turn there.

Dartmouth wins in a blowout, and Florida gets duped by Miles again.
I watched the Florida game at a local sports bar. I said to my buddy, 'if Miles kicks this field goal, I will walk home' (about four miles). I saw that fake coming a mile away. Darn! I don't like losing that way. But hey, Florida had two more solid chances to win after that, including the great defensive play from Thomas to break up the Callaway TD. Fun game, but it didn't end how I would have liked it too.

Enthusiasm is rising in Coug-ville. Back-to-back victories over Oregon and Oregon State have us at 4-2 and looking carefully at the rest of the schedule. More than that, the word is circulating that if Stanford wins and WSU beats Arizona this weekend, ESPN Gameday may come to Pullman!

This is a BIG weekend for Cougar football! The PAC-12 in general is vigorously engaged in its favorite pastime, picking each other off and screwing up the polls.

Yeah, not being ready for the fake was a bummer, and Harris' poor play at the end was a disappointment. On the other hand, Harris played better than I expected, and the team fought hard in a very difficult environment. Plus, UF is still in the driver's seat in the SEC East. Should they lose to Georgia and FSU, they're still in good position for a nine-win season. And if they beat UGA, that's 10 wins and a spot in the SEC title game, which would be fantastic.

Sorry I missed the end of Michigan/MSU live due to it running long and the Gators game thus having to start out on Espn News. I'm shocked I'm the first one to bring it up, that was crazy!
