Greetings folks. I had posted in an SWR fan thread about finding out how old my new (old) Henry 8X8 cab is, but to no avail.

    SN: 0765, Obvious pre-fender.

Pics will follow, but for now I can tell you, its the old chicken-wire grill. No chrome. All speakers look original. I haven't taken anything apart yet. I'd rather not unless I have to.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

SWR's old website used to have a product history with a timeline of releases and changes, but it looks like there isn't an SWR website any longer to look at. Other than that... it's from the 90's!

    This could help a little.
    Vintage SWR Products

It was 1999 that SWR switched to chrome grills for most stuff, not sure on the Henry.

I've gone through all the fender site resources. But there is nothing in the way of DATING the product with it's respective serial number. That's what I'm hoping to find.

I appreciate your input and support!

The company is defunct and as such information on their products are few and far between. If the cabinet sounds good and handles what you throw at it who cares how old the beastie is. Just play and enjoy it. :)

  8. Let me know if you need replacement drivers. I have 2 left (Celestion) . That's what should be in yours.

I've heard tell that the first release of this cab was outfitted with Bag Ends. Its nice to dream.

That aside, I will definitely keep you in mind. Thanks!
