NCD!

I finally got a cab to pair with my TE Elf. It's a no-name and can only handle 100 watts, but for home use is more than enough. I'll surely swap out the woofer for an eminence or a celestion at some point, but for now being able to hear this little guy roar is awesome

There's nothing wrong with getting a 'no name' speaker if it sounds good. I just bought a 'Grindhouse' speaker built by Seismic Audio from Amazon. It's a full-range PA speaker but I'm sure it will handle bass just fine. Considering you made such a small investment in your cabinet, like I did, you might consider saving for a different cab rather than investing any more into that cab (i.e. new raw speaker). But for now I'm glad you get to hear your new little powerhouse!

By the way, what brand and model of speaker did you buy?

I probably will build a new enclosure for the new speaker eventually. This thing I paid 75 dollars. Where I live decent cabs start at 300, but for about 200 and a bit of my time I can build one with good speakers, so I'll probably keep this one for home practice and build the other ones for gigging

Make sure to look at websites like Eminence and ask the pros here on TB for help in designing the cabinet. There are specific dimensions and porting that go with each raw speaker and if you add a tweeter it gets more complicated. But many people build cabs all the time.
