I've been playing a Carvin LB75 (5-string, neck through) for a number of years. I really only have one complaint--it is neck heavy. It won't stay at a comfortable playing angle because it just naturally dips down/forward. For the first time in a while, I'm considering moving to something else. Besides being more balanced (i.e., a bass that won't do a neck dive), I'm looking for a five string with a narrower neck (and string spacing) with a solid B string. My first bass was an Ibanez Soundgear SR405. Fast neck, great string spacing for me, but mediocre electronics and weak B string (due to body mass or electronics or bridge or something).
