Im getting ready to start my 3rd bass build but my first 5 string and I need some help.
I have a SX 5 string neck, couldnt pass on the price and looks, and a Seymour Duncan SMB-5a Music Man pickup.
The neck is 1.75 at the nut and 2.70 at the heel. The pickup measures 2.63 from the middle of the outside poles.
Now my dumb question,
Is the spacing to wide on the pickup given the neck measurements to cross the pickup correctly?
I will be using a Schaller 496 bridge and string the bass E-A-D-G-C 30-100
If I havent provided enough info please ask what else is needed for an opinion.
