Need a good boost.

Well I've got an EBMM Stingray 5 Classic deluxe... I'm absolutely in love with the tone, but there is one problem; I don't have much of a midrange. The active on board eq is just treble, bass and volume. I love the lows and the buzz of the treble, but I'd love to get more kick out of it. I've considered multiple boost pedals and DI stomp boxes. The first one was an Aguilar Tone Hammer. I've heard one before and love how it sounds. It has a great midrange on it. I've told a friend I mine that has one that I'd like to buy one, but he uses a passive bass and said that it's not as great with an active bass like mine. So this leave me in a pickle. I've considered other boost pedals but none have the kind of tone I'm in the market for.

Would anyone happen to have good experience with the Tone Hammer and an active bass like mine? Any other boost suggestions?

An EQ pedal will give you the overall and mids boost your seek. The MXR M-108 has the bandwidth and bands to satisfy any bassist.

The Source Audio Programmable EQ gives you a few presets.
