I have recently come across a Laney NX 810 cab and was hoping you all could give me some suggestions on a good head to pair it with.
I live in ND, so my options of trying stuff out are very slim. Not really interested in tube amps as there aren't any good techs in my town. I have done a ton of research and have narrowed my choices down to: Ampeg SVT Pro 7, Ampeg SVT Pro 3, Orange Terror Bass and I also just saw an Acoustic 370 in the classifieds.
I play mostly rock and punk using a Rickenbacker 403 with a pick (gross). My current amp is a Trace Elliot GP7 SM 115 300 combo that I love. I am open to any and all suggestions, even if it's just to stop using a pick! Thanks.
