OK then you either already have Rotosound 66's, one of the brightest ringiest zingiest clankers on planet Earth, or you've got GHS Bass Boomers known for it's powerful low mid punch and growl. Roto 66's have a very course finger and fret eating wind on the outer wrap. Boomers are far more smooth and elegant.
Yeah, the Roto 66's are about as bright as you're going to get. If you want anything brighter, you'll have to put the bass away, and get one of these. This one had Rotos on it when I bought it. Even though they were old and nasty, they were still bright enough to make your ears bleed. And yes, they made those little Rick frets go away, too...
