For all you american guys out there, bass prices in australia aren't based on the exchange rate, they do cost more

I play mainly four-strings, because written music only requires 4, maybe when i start a band and write my own i'll use a 5.
how about yamahas BB614/615s? you have a choice between 4 and 5 strings P/J pickups active eq bass/mid/treble and blend control its really versitle
That sounds quite similar to this: "For all you american guys out there, bass prices in australia aren't based on the exchange rate, they do cost more." You did word it a lot better though, thanks.Going to butt in here, because I have had this happen to me many times.
THIS IS AUSTRALIAN $$ AND PRICES. $1000 DOESN'T GO FAR. 90% of the suggestions are wayyy out of the price range..
Also, Im going to recommend saving a little more and going for a spector legend. If you live near a Billy Hyde store they sometimes get down to $1000 (I saw a legend 5 classic for 999 the other day). Good neck, really punchy mids and bass.
Before I offend anyone, i'm not trying to be offensive, just telling you my opinion, You hate Fenders, Rics and my Mum. Well i hate schecters, don't know why. I'm sure they're good basses, i just don't like them.Go with a Schecter.
dude, he's in AUSTRALIAI did a little search on ebay...
so here you go
Warwick 5 string Thumb Bass Bolt On
2005 GIBSON THUNDERBIRD
USA MADE FENDER JAZZ BASS GUITAR 5 STRING WITH GIG BAG
Ibanez SR785 5 String Limited Edition Elec.Bass Guitar
Hope you like something
THANKYOU!!! Someone understands, nice basses though, i like the Thumb and SR785, although i'm looking for a 4, and they're all 5s. I've never seen a Fender like that. Is it a custom paintjob and - a PG?dude, he's in AUSTRALIA![]()
Yeah, i was considering one of those, but i'm not a big fan of the p/j setup. Mind you, i've only ever played one, and that was a samick, but i think i'd prefer something like an SR300 that has two humbuckers. BTW, any idea if the pickups on the BB614/615s are active or passive?
