I've seen more than a few threads along the lines of "Does anybody know any teachers in the Butte, Montana area?" I just stumbled upon a great resource that everyone should probably know about- Music Staff

The site lets you enter your ZIP code, your instrument, and your preferred style, and gives you a list of teachers in your area from a database they have compiled. It's free for teachers to register, and it's free for prospective students to search.

I'm not affiliated with them in any way, but I do think that this is a great resource for any and all musicians. If this qualifies as "advertising", I suppose I understand.
