Need advice for Nady transmitter cable mod

I have the low budge Nady wireless mic system

model Nady DKW-3 GT Guitar Wireless System Ch B

the 3.5mm plug has a screw collar to secure it to the transmitter but ... it's consistantly intermittant scratchy noisy so I need to mod the cable with something that will not pull out, unlike an unsecured 1/8" jack/plug combo, etc.

I can solder the cable direct to the PCB but I consider that a last resort.

Anyone have a mod they did, or would do, for this situation?

thanks for the suggestion. I dcecided to use a plastic cable strain relief. I had one in my electronics junk box an dit's the perfect size (after I rheemed out the plastic case a bit). this will keep the cable from ever pulling out unless it's yanked on to excess.
