Need advice on cabinets

Two cabs the same is always OK. Mixing cabs requires more research.
Mixing different cabs can work if the cabs respond similarly, same basic design, similar power handling and responsiveness. I use a Bergantino CN112 and CN210. They have very simialr power handling and responsiveness, both neo ported designs. There are alot of Berg players who use a similar set up and Jim even publishes speaker profiles for them. I keep the 112 at the drummers and the 210 at home. Rarely do I have a gig big enough to use both but when I do it is great. Having three different options is great.

+1 to this. my Bergs were not cheap but for a couple years I used the CN112, 28 pounds, 350 watt power handling. Used this for many gigs before buying my second used. One of them will handle 90%+ of my gigs. IMHO better to buy a better cab and get better sound.

Then again its tricky finding 8ohm 2x driver applications.
1x12 and 1x12 is option
1x15 and 1x15 another option
Min 4 ohm is typical for most amps. 2 ohms is available on some.
Others use serial cables to provide 2 4ohm cabinets as 8 ohm load.
no crossover no tweetor and matching cabs is advised for serial connections.
depends on what your doing if you really need a 4x12.
and yes at 8 ohms the amp isnt making full power blah blah.

Wow, I can't thank everyone here enough! I decided to go with 2 TC Electronic RS212. Now my next question is what kind of 1/4" of Speakon cable do I need? NL2? NL4? The Rumble head only has 1/4" outputs.
You want a pair of 1/4''' to NL2 speaker cables. That splits the 500w power to two 1/4" jacks.
