Need advice on floor pedal board

What bass are you using? What DI? Did you plug into the mic input on the mixing board or a line input? How long is the cable run from the DI to the mixing board?

Ah , ok. Passive bass, 150' of cable run. You have the Line 6 bass POD, but it does not belong to you or the church, and the church wants to own the equipment. Finally, the light goes on!! 
You need an active DI. If you want to spend really big bucks get a REDDI, Avalon, Millenium or similar. If it were my church, I would buy a [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] or the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] if you want to spend a little more. They are both tough and reliable. The J48 will have better sound and more features.

So you would recommend the Radial J48 over the Tech 21? ...then what I'm thinking is I can add a Boss EQ pedal and volume pedal. The volume pedal is a must just because of the sound man, I have him give me the max volume possible then I can adjust from soft to loud to fit the song.

Nope, just easier to leave my bass all the way up and adjust with a foot pedal. I get alot smoother and finer of an adjustment on the foot pedal than with my knobs. My volume knobs on my bass are more like a light switch then a dimmer switch. They do have some adjustment but not smooth and I'm not a good enough bass player to adjust my volume with one hand and play at the same time. And it's nice to have the floor volume for builds in the song as well, some times I want to get a certain sound with the way I play the strings without the volume (hope that makes sence).

Yeah, a volume pedal would be the right thing. I would recommend you put one between your bass and the DI. Ernie Ball makes a good one. There are others worth considering. What about a tuner? There are a lot of good tuners out there that allow you to tune silently.
I would personally get a VT bass pedal..th e new one with the xlr out. It has gain galore and sounds awesome..easy to operate..Also, a radial Bassbone is a great DI, plenty of oomph and has some eq as well as contour setting on 2 seperate channels..a slick piece of gear.//I take both these units everywhere I go. (well you know..not the beach)
