Double Bass Need amp suggestions

I am in the process of converting my rig to be more "DB friendly"
I currently own a GK 700RB-II head with a GK 410SBX+ cab. I really like it for my electric bass and rock gigs, however I have been playing more DB lately. If possible I'd like to keep my cab and just get a 1x12 cab to take out with my DB. I'm planning on selling my head and have been looking at the GK MB fusion. Does anyone have any experience with these heads? What other heads would you suggest to power a 1X12 amp for jazz gigs while at the same time can handle my 4X10 for rock gigs.

I have looked at a lot of the other posts but thought that this is a little too specific. But basically I need an amp that can give me the power of a rock gig, while at the same time can be used for jazz gigs. That is why I'm thinking one head and 2 cabs. So any opinions are welcome. Thanks!

Pretty much any of the RB series heads will sound great for double bass, provided you get a nice preamp and pickup. You could use your 700rb and a nice 112 cab.

Don't be so quick to sell the 700rb, unless you just really want a lighter weight rig. The new GK MB series lightweight combos look nice for double bass. I am most interested in the brand-new GK MB112. 200 watts into 1-12 and only $299, and super light and small. Not much info on it yet though as it just came out around NAMM this year.

I have even had good results running my Underwood straight into my GK head, due to the standard GK 1Mohm input impedance and the very usable GK EQ . I do like the sound and feedback resistance I get when using my Pro Platinum preamp though.

I would absolutely hold on to the head. The GK RB's do sound great with the Double Bass. They are clean and clear with a lot of head room. The Neo 112 is actually quite a nice sounding cab with the upright if not a bit on the heavy side.. I would be inclined to hold on to the 410 for bass guitar gigs, and buy something like a Euphonic Audio Wizzy 1x12 for Double Bass.

I finally bought the Neo 112. However when I run my 700RB through it, it sounds as if I'm pushing to much signal to it. This happens whether I am using only this cab or both of my cabs. Any ideas why it would sound like this. If the volume is down low on the head, even halfway or less, it should not be pushing more than the 300W the cab can handle right?
