Need assistance with getting rid of hum on active Schecter studio six

Hi all, I rbought a Schecter bass six string and I like a very very Tripoli sound. Because I play a lot of slack. So I will typically leave the EQ controls on flat except for the highs. I will turn those up on the way. Thing is, I do get a pretty nasty 60 cycle hum. If I move the base around like lay it flat or in playing position the sound will change in volume. I was wondering if there are any pick ups that I can switch out with to correct this issue? I believe that this bass comes with passive pickups and in active preamp.

Hi, thanks so much for the reply. Do you have any recommendation on any pick ups that I didn't get to fix this issue? I looked up the specs of the EMG HZ35 which I believe are the pick ups that are on this Schechter studio six bass, but cannot find anywhere where it tells me if it's a single coil or otherwise. Is it single coil" oil?

It says that it is a humbucking pickup, right on the website.

The EMG 35HZ, is our passive Extended series pickup for 4 string bass. This modern passive model features a humbucking design for low noise and plenty of output. Using ceramic bar magnets with steel, the tone is warm with a smooth attack and a big mid-range response. This pickup uses an extended housing that is 3.5 inches (89mm).

Sorry, I mean can you recommend any pick ups that I can get? Preferably something not too expensive :)
Thanks for the help

There are hundreds of different pickups, with different voicings. You need to be very specific about what you are looking for, before any worthwhile recommendations can be made.

Hi, I am looking for something That can give me plenty of high-end and low-end without umm. Pretty much everywhere I plug in the base at gigs or at school or at home, I get a lot of hum. I have my treble turned all the way up because I like that nice crisp slap sound, but the hum does tend to get annoying. Very noticeable especially at gigs. Sound guys are always complaining about it. I haven't found any place that I can plug in where there is no hum.

EMG 35s are active and internally shielded- very quiet. The 35HZ is passive, but usually pretty quiet, altho the coils can be split, which would allow single coil hum.
Check all grounds very good,
Maybe change to the active pickups- they are the same size, just need a battery + connection.
