i play mostly metal and i need another bass that I can leave in drop C for around $650 including the case. i Have a BC Rich widow but i dont like tuning it to C(but its an amazing bass). so far I like at the ESP AX 104 and the BC Rich Virgo Vintage Celtic Bass. if you have any other suggestions or think these basses are any good plz post.

Need drop c bass, any suggestions?

i use an OLP in my current band. just get something you're comfortable with and get it set up for the drop C. used basses=great value.
are you using proper string guages for drop C? that is half the battle

also active electronics or pickups with a hot output will help if you're playing metal.

I only do one song in drop C (No One Knows-Queens of the Stone Age) but my SR series Ibanez (34") does the job with a Hipshot detuner using 55 -110's. I did have to set the neck.
I was in a band for a long time that played all our songs in drop C. I used a G&L 2500, I had it set up to be like a five string tuned up. (Adjusted the nut to fit B string, adjusted the neck bow and bridge saddle slot.) It sounded ridiculous, super tight and heavy C string. You could probably get a G&L tribute series for that price.

the BC Rich Zombie Exotic Classic, Cort T74, BC Rich Mockingbird etc etc
the list can go on and on, but it boils down to personal preference, i've got my first bass setup as my Drop-C bass and if i got it new pick-ups it'd be perfect for it
Another I would suggest BC Rich Vortex just because of the swirls
