Need for good amp

I'm in dire need of a good amp...
I need something loud but clean...
I have a budget of between $250 and $300 but need something stronger than 75 watts

Can you help me? If so, which do you recommend?

I am in a band, I've been playing for 7 months but have gotten pretty good, the guitarist has a pretty powerful Line 6 Spider III, 60 watt, compared to my petty 15 watt Squier BP15 and the vocals have a DJ Tech Professional 2, 80 watt speakers portable PA system.

We play different genres and in most of our songs the bass guitar is EXTRA important, so I need something powerful that doesn't pass the $300 budget.

We are beggining but we already know 12 songs and most of them from different genres so I need an all around bass amp

Our first gig is in December 16 but I won't be able to have it by then. I just want to have it for our next gig. We are upgrading now and my amp was the most powerful back then so I'm the last one to upgrade.

Please recommend!!:D:D

try and get something of craigs. That way you can hear it and maybe pick it up before your first gig. What area you in?
Don't be afraid of getting something used. It probably get you something better for less money. (I haven't owned any) But look for some 80's peavey stuff they have some advantages they are built like a tank, cheap, and last forever. I wouldn't know how amazing they sound maybe it's decent or maybe it's wonderful, but that is for your ear to decide. Their amps have a lot versatility from what people say about them so maybe good at diffrent styles.

To my bad luck, I live in a tiny island in the middle of the Caribbean called Puerto Rico and it takes two weeks for something Florida to fly here (bad service here) and a lot of people don't ship this faraway.

hmm.. double to bad there is like 10 things that are in the musical instrument section in Puerto Rico

Unless there is some way you could rig one of them old spanish cannons as something it seems you will have to wait;)

Due to your shipping problem don't get anything ampeg. I got a combo by them myself a few months back it has been trouble.

Maybe a very small Gallien Krueger They have an 100watt 12" combo for $299 or for $210 the have 2x10" this seems like it might have some decent wattage. 300? here's a link

So I would check out line 6, eden, and G&K. Some of Line 6's might be modelers which you would probably like.

That would be more credible from someone who has seen other women apart from the Puertorican models in TV. And... I'm still pretty young so I'm not into them. I prefer the bass amps for now.:bassist:

I'm lucky because I live in the middle of the Caribbean! and if you want it takes just one or 2day service to get any item air shipped from US-Continental via FedEX, UPS or USPS.

The B200 is a good choice, especially in the price range. But you are better off, especially on such a tight budget, on getting used gear. Look for a good Cheap cabinet and head, combos probably wont give you the oomph (though the b200 is loud for 200 watts..) that you'd want. Go for ampeg or GK if you can find em cheap. Not a ton of used Acoustic stuff (you were lookin at the b200) cause they're pretty new. Just avoid behringer if you can. The power ratings and prices are tempting... but ive heard about 2-3 good reviews and about 50-60 bad ones of them. (cab wise.. not other stuff)

You should look used, but i also just got the acoustic b200h and b410 for $390 at the prez day sale and that is way more than $40 better than the b200 combo.. :P

I'd say find a cheap 1x15 or 4x10 and find a workable head. $300 isnt going to get a giggable system.. $400, maybe. $300.. probably not.
