Hi, looking for some advice on adding two HK active bass bins to our Mackie system.
At the minute we have 2 Mackie SRM450s and 1 Mackie SRM1801 (18 inch sub) connected to a Mackie CFX-12 mixer. We run the system as Mackie states with the build in crossover.
We have the chance of getting 2 HK actor active 15 inch bass bins for a very good price and I really need some advice on how to connect the whole system up, ideal we want to use all 3 subs and the 2 Mackie mains.
My first idea was to run the system how we were (as Mackie states) then just add the 2 HK subs from the 75hz sub output on the desk, but I realised that we would really want more low mid in the HKs as 75hz and below is very low. Ideally we want the mains (12 inch) for highs and high mids/low mids, the HKs (15 inch) for low mids and lows and the 18 inch Mackie sub for lows and extreme lows, hope this makes sense
My second idea was to run the Mackies as we were and run the HK's from AUX 1, using AUX 2 for Monitors. Would this be the best way??
Really I am just after advice on the best way to run the whole system. Hope this all makes sense, many thanks!
Jack
