Need Help, badly, my amp doesnt send sound to my speakers...

Hello guys, (im a noob), good day...

...just bought an Ashdown Mag 300 EVOII (amp head only), it was working perfectly, but then when i wanna use it the other day it was not sending a sound to my speakers... iv checked the fuse on the power cable & on the amp back panel, & both are not busted...so what d'ya think is problem? thanks guy in advance...

...btw, the amp turns on, and the VU meters seems to be recieving a good signal from my bass...

Thank you MIJ,...yeah, thats my amp, ( sorry,btw ), it was connected to a MAG 210T deep, supposed to be a combo, but i bought separately ( for a practice speaker at home ), & i bought it without a manual...my bad...so what dya think is the problem?...

...so the problem is inside...well i guess i have to send it back to the store, coz its its only a day old, ( warranty issues )...

I am no electronics guru, so I was hesitant to open up the amp myself. After I opened it, it was really no big deal, and I quickly found the blown fuse. I'm thankful another forumite had a similar problem so I kinda knew where to look.

The obvious first thing to check is your speaker cable. Try a completely different one that you know is good. Some amps check the speaker line and if they detect a problem the amp will not connect the speakers.

If you disconnect everything but the power, switch the amp on you should hear a faint click as a relay engages. If you hear this (always assuming the amp is so equipped) the actual amp should be OK. Then you can look to your cabling and cabinets.

...tempting BASS', but i dont know, its new!... but if its more than a couple of months, well im with you...but its tempting,:hmm::hmm::hmm:

Thank you Paul...

...iv used a perfectly new cable that connects the head and the speaker but still not working, then i connect the speaker to my old amp using all the same cable, and it was working fine, so i gues it really was the amp head...and im not hearing anything as i switch the amp on...but i'll keep this in mind 'bout what uv said...thanks Paul...

If you just bought it new, don't waste time and resources trying to fix it. Take it back before opening the case! Sometimes that will void the warranty!!

I would make sure the speaker cab and cable is working before taking it back to the store though.

...but i still have a problem, i can only return it next week, 200 Km., from my place to the store,...so this is why i ask for some help, maybe i could do or try something, and maybe to put my mind at ease, then you tell me it was just the fuse inside, then i was relieve...but at this minute 'twas very tempting to open this amp...

...i was tempted to open it, but i guess i'll just have to wait 'till next week ( i only have limited freetime )...you are right "warranty"!...
