Need help badly

Alright,so we recorded onto a tape,now trying to get it onto the computer

What I have set up is a boom-box,connected to a computer using a double ended 1/8" inch(headphone size) cable.

Sound recorder won't pick up both microphone input or line in

Need free program to do this really really quickly please!

Do a Google search for the program Audacity, or I'm pretty sure you can get it on www.sourceforge.net

It's free, and I _think_ it will work for what you are trying to do.

The problem may not be the software (although it's worth downloading Audacity anyway). Check out my step by step guide to recording onto your PC in this thread:
