Need help choosing an amp.

I have and like the Rumble 350.

Pros -
EQ, preprogrammed EQ (Punch and Scoop), 6DB PAD, XLR out.
RCA input. Its volume is controlled by the device so you can play your bass along with music. Music in general sounds really good through it when you turn on the horn.
Headphones out.

Cons -
Master volume only. I think there is a digital thing that does something as when changing volume and playing there is a wierd effect.
XLR out is tied to the master volume. Fine if the input you go to is tunable.

I didn't vote though. That is your choice

I run an Ampeg PF500, 350 may also be in your price range. Of the ones listed, I voted for the rumble

I've never tried the Carvin BX500 but this looks nice. They have a 10 day trial period too.. But if you don't have a cab, then it doesn't matter. I have the Rumble 350 and it defiinitely has the headroom to play out in rooms and bars. Worth the short money. I thought the Hartke LH models were a little heavy for their size but I cannot comment on them sonically.

The LMII is certainly an excellent choice. Tone Hammer is loud and you have to dig that high gain tone, IMO.

Out of those choices up there I would go with the Hartke, though I would up the extra jack for the LH1000.

May I ask where you paid 300 for a new MB500?

300€ is around 380 dollars. A music store was closing down and had total sale. Original price was 350€, but I haggled down to 300€. Downside is I dont get any kind of warranty - hopefully GK will prove reliable.

Forgot to mention, GK MB500 has headphone output.

Markbass LM3 is also great amp, I think it rather similar to GK, but it has two shape filters, and GK has boost (kind of OD). One LM3 filter is great for slap, other simulates vintage sound. GK boost is great for gritty rock sound.

If you bought it new you should have a factory warranty regardless of price paid.
