NEED HELP: deal or no deal

i might pick-up this system on sunday. i am not familar with MTX pro audio, so if any of you are familiar please chime in. is the asking price reasonable and what else do i need to add to complete this set-up? i tried to seach for info but this gear is some what dated. thanks!

MTX is better known for car audio speakers. They do make cheap "Pro-sumer" speakers that are sold at places like Best Buy for around $100.

The Mackie can be had new Link Removed for $619.

This is not a good deal.

You would be much better off buying a new Carvin system direct for that amount of money.

MTX is common for fleamarket DJs around here thats the only place ive seen em used.

I'd pass on that also. Keep hunting.

+ everything. You can get started on used Crown and JBL and Allen and Heath for that money . Remember, the market is depressed and there aren't that many people looking for PA systems at anyone time.
