Need help! Eden Ohms, Amps, Cabs, Power, etc...

I still get confused trying to consider Ohms and Amperage in regards to power amps and cabs.
Here's my question.

-Eden WT800 Head
-Eden D118XL with replacement Eminence Sigma Pro (rated at 650watts RMS @ 8ohms)
Question- wanna add an Eden 410XLT. Should I get a 4ohm or 8ohm cab?
Question- how should I wire it? I wanna utilize the crossover on the head, so I asssume I'll want to run bi-amp setting on the WT800?
Note- I also have a QSC power amp that puts out 2 channels of 500 watts@8ohm or 1000 watts 4ohm bridged.(in case there's a need to implement another power amp?)

When biamping like that, a 210 or 2x8 will run plenty loud to cover mids and highs over an 18. Carrying around a 410 that does not need to carry low frequencies would be sort of a waste of size, money, hassle, etc.

Sigma Pro is a very nice 18 BTW.

+1 It's a waste to bi-amp two full range cabinets. It IS fully possible that the 4x10 you choose will be more able to reproduce low frequencies than the 18.

May I suggest you look at the fEARful top box for a better way of going about things.

Yeah- loving my Eminence Sigma Pro- it's range was closest to the factory Eden 18 the cab came with.
I was worried about the tone because I was so in love with the tone the Eden speaker made....but.....all good- very happy with the Sigma Pro.
I will say that it's a little punchier than the Eden. The Sigma might "warm" up in tone as it gets older...we'll see...
So a 2X10 might be a better plan, eh? Hmmmm....was thinking of running the 4X10 by itself when needed and only add the 18 for big shows, but I have heard a couple 2X10's I like......
Formulating.....keep the info coming.

Since you will be powering the cabs with separate power amp channels it is not important what the impedance is (as long as it is within the range of the amps capability). It is important when using multiple cabs on one amp channel, not in your case if you are going to bi-amp with a single cab on each channel.

One cab to each output and use the crossover function to split the signal. The first thing you may notice is that you will get plenty of "mids and highs" from the 210 and the 18 can be crossed over at a relatively low frequency and the 210 still can keep up. This same set-up however will also cause comb filtering at a distance from the stack, sooner or later you may decide that mixed cab rigs all lack in sound quality in certain places in a room where stacks of matched drivers will not exhibit the condition. (One exception: fEarful or other designs incorporating a passive crossover inside the cab and using true midrange drivers for the "highs" instead of two different full range drivers).

This subject has been covered extensively on TB and there seems to be a group that refuses to accept the science supporting the idea/concept. I did the bi-amp mixed cab thing about 5 years ago and dumped the cabs for traditional 810. In my current band the 810 cab is always overkill as I always have PA support and stage volume is fairly low for the singer(s). I could use a 410 on all gigs in my current band but my next cab set-up will likely be a fEarful design. Check them out before spending high $$$ on a mixed cab rig IMHO and experience.
