Need help finding midi Cable

Hello everyone,this is my first post. I am hoping that someone could help me find a certain midi cable. I recently purchased two midi basses and can’t seem to find a midi cable for them. It’s not your typical midi cable I believe that it takes a 14 pin cable. (I will post a pic). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Yeah- 13 pin MIDI isn’t uncommon but I’ve never heard of 14 pin. Knowing the make and model might be the only way to find out for sure.

If I'm not mistaken, that proprietary cable connects the instrument to a box that converts the fret/string tracking info to MIDI commands. I think. But as the earlier posters indicated, it would help to know the actual brand and model of the basses.

Looks like a nonstandard mini DIN connector with some semi- mil spec casing features thrown in. If you’re wanting to make your own cable you’ll probably have to ask the company who made these what that connector is called.

But it isn’t a midi cable at all, besides finding connectors you’ll also need to know the pin outs for both ends of the cable. And then you need whatever box there is to convert that 14 pin signal to something any other equipment wants to hear.

I've never heard of the brand, and it appears they don't use a Roland style quad pickup. I'm guessing they use some sort of piezo system under the bridge, or incorporated into the saddles. Unless it was made by someone like Shadow you're probably out of luck.

Thanks for all of your help everyone! I may wind up modifying these basses with magnetic pups if I can’t find the right cable. I have a Roland GI20 midi interface that I was hoping to use for midi. I’ll keep looking. Thanks again.
