Need help using Thiele-Small Parameters

Thank you in advance for your time and attention as well as input.
I might be recieving a 15" speaker with the following Thiele-Small Parameters

Resonant Frequency (Fs) : 34 Hz
Impedance (Re) : 10.5 ohm
Electromagnetic Q (Qes) : 0.38
Mechanical Q (Qms) : 3.76
Total Q (Qts) : 0.36
Compliance Equivalent Volume (VAS) : 11.48 Ft^3
Surface Area of Cone (Sd) : 132.7 In^2
Bl Product (TM) : 20.3 TM
Voice Coil Size : 2.5"
Sensitivity 1W/1M (SPL) : 99 dB
Nominal Impedance : 16 ohms
Xmax : 7.5 mm


Where do I go to get the worksheet for plugging in the number and coming up with the dimensions of a cabinet?

That's what I use. Beta version makes it simple for newbies. Alpha is far more detailed but you have to know what you're doing to use its extra features.

Is there a similar program for mac? I run OSX 10.4, and would like to figure some things out.

as of about a year + ago they had no mac version. While on my mac I use/d the online version, which of course is missing a zillion features.

hopefully they have a mac version now and you will report back and let us know!

IMO, that seems a little 'optimistic' for sensitivity with that Xmax.

Do you have Excel? There is a spreadsheet called UniBox that does speaker calculations. It is not so intuitive as WinISD. Also, I have my own spreadsheet, which is "open" in the sense that you can look at the underlying macro code. I am planning on putting it up on my website. However... an advantage of a code like WinISD is that the experts trust it.

And if the stars are aligned, these spreadsheets should run under OpenOffice. I will have to try that tomorrow.

About the sensitivity figure, ignore it. WinISD will compute the sensitivity from the T/S parameters anyway.

Sensitivity that's not frequency referenced is useless anyway.
