Need help with a song by Snowboy.

What I really need is the ears of a more experienced player to tell me if this song is doable on an electric bass. To my ears is sounds like it may be an upright, but it may be a 6 string. I just don't know. That's why I am here. Anyway, this song may be well above me, but it is a goal. The other question, is the low and high parts playable in a single take or is this an overdub?

The song is a remix of Snowboy and the Latin Section: Los Rumberos De La Habana Y Mantanzas. One of my favorite remixes from the Brazilian dance scene. I found it in the Brazillectro series. By the way, does anyone know the translation of the title? I tried to use Google to translate, but no luck.

According to my (quick and dirty) research, it was recorded by Nico Gomez on bass. He studied at Berkley, but lives in London now and tours with Yang. Here's their bio page and there's a contact link. I would wager he would likely answer any questions you have about the recording.

Yes, the tone is very woody and sound very much like an upright. Great song too. Love the groove.
