im looking into building a bass from scratch. if anyone here knows of the band "dragonforce" then you know what Sam Totman's Ibanez STM-2 looks like. if you dont, look it up. its a very cool looking guitar, thats what i want my bass to look like. im skilled with woodworking so i can build it. but i dont know how big to make it, or tall or wide. how would i find out how big the dimensions are?

One important lesson I learned when I built my own bass:
Measure the interior dimensions of a standard, easy-to-find bass case (or gig bag). Make sure that whatever bass you build is at least small enough to fit in that.
