Hi, I'm going to have to agree with muckaluck, get 2-8 ohm cabs. Rule of thumb for volume. You have to double the Power output to raise the volume 3 dbs. The human ear cannot discern a volume change unless the sound pressure has increased 3db or more. Therefore, in order to to get a 2ohm load on the amp. You would have to go with 2ea 4ohm cabs. Go with the 8ohm cabs. Then, like he said, if you change amps, you can still use your stack. Options are 4-10 cab on top with a 1-15 bottom. A smaller version would be a 1-15 on the bottom with a 2-10 top cab. Not as tall but every bit as effective. I am using a Behringer BX 4500H with a BB210 cab with 2-10" speakers and a 1" tweeter horn. I forgot a third option is to use 2ea. 4-10 cabs. You would be mimicing the ampeg 8-10 cabinet. no matter how you configure your cabs. stay with two 8 ohm cabs. I think, in the long run, you would be much happier. And, if you want, you can always add 2 more 8 ohm cabs ( if you want to carry all of them.) Just a note, don't try to mix 8ohm and 4ohm cabs together. It can get messy. A good way to look at loading an amp with the correct resistance load is to look at it like the amp is a 1inch water line and the speaker array is a 4inch fire hose with a massive pump drawing the water through it. It will work, only until the 1inch line overheats from the friction and ruptures. Your amp will shut down thermally or blow a fuse. It could also blow the output stage in the amp.
