Double Bass Need Info please.......

I have a chance to purchase a DB. This is the info from the tag on the inside: Cremona Fecit Anno Domini Year: 1999 NO Model number but S/N 99050026. Any help to I.D. and what a used one would go for would be greatly appreciated. I am a drummer for the last 41 years and would really like to pick up the Bass. Thanks!

You want the DB / upright side of the house, this is Bass Guitars. A kindly mod can move it for you. Good luck. :) ('round here, we don't know our Cremonas from our Cremora or Remoras! lolz)

I have moved the thread to the DB side of the board. Welcome to Talkbass!

Here is an old thread on Cremona basses. I agree with the points made here: My Cremona adventure

And here is the sticky wiki on buying a first bass. It contains a ton of useful information put together by members of this site: Beginners Guide to Buying a Double Bass | TalkBass.com

Good luck on your journey!

"Cremona" instruments from the 90s were historically pretty horrible in my experience with student instruments as a school orchestra director.
