Need input on Subs pertaining to JBL VRX932LAP

I am building a new system to cover primarily weddings and parties of up to 200 people. Everything from soft 3 jazz to a full 7 piece rock band with horns and keys.

The tops are a total of four JBL VRX932LAP units. Each set of two is on speaker stands on each side of the stage. My question is, how many VRX918SP subs should I get? My gut says two, but a lot of the JBL literature shows a sub for each 12" top. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I´d say get 2. It might be overkill at some smaller parties, but generally the bass end needs more ammo to get any impact...

one sub per top is recommended. It's pretty standard. If you have 4 each, the system will be scalable to your needs. All of them for the rock band, half for jazz, etc...
