Need preamp/DI/practice all-in-one unit

Except for the "high quality" part of his criteria . . .

That Behringer DI out is one of the noisiest on the planet . . .

he mentioned that he needs the DI for live performance purposes, which i would venture to say are less demanding, noise-wise, than in a recording environment.

in any case, i bought mine to use with the pgh. Penguins house band (very small stage!). I used it all last season and never had any complaints from the house sound guys. fwiw.

$200 ain't gonna git ya much in the "high-end quality preamp/DI" department... :hiding:

Does it have to be all in one?

I'd go with a MXR bass DI or Sans Amp with an EHX mini mixer. The MXR and Sansamp you can get on eBay and the EHX mini mixer is under 60 bucks. You could use the mixer also to mix effects with an AB/Y box. If you are interested you can PM me for pricing - if you want to go the new route. With the above set-up you 'll have a more versatile set-up that you won't out grow since it is pro level stuff.
