Hi friends I need your help.i play metal and my solo compositions .my amp was ampeg pf 500 and b410he ampeg cabinet.my bass is warwick vampyre sn 5 strings .i paly with sansamp bass driver.a couple of days ago, my Amplifiers burned (china's ampeg). and I plan to buy a new one .: ampeg svt 3pro .messa boogie m3 carbine.tc electronic rh450. some ofthem you recommend and what cabinet? This amps i can get for normal price in my country.I need something with excellent sound.lightweight.and good cab for my lowB string.
I have an RH450 but it died a couple of weeks ago. 15 months old. I guess you should stay away from that.
Is it out of warranty? Is ampeg or your seller gonna fix it? I have mine at a local tech since it is out of warranty. I have thoughts of having my next gear to be locally repairable if it goes out without disregard to weight.
I send the amp to store back.they sad they will try to help me and fix it. But i dont whant get the same problem in the future so im looking for new one.
Same thing with my backline 600 which I sold after getting it fixed. So, I moved up to a midpriced amp but still failed. Still trying to get some ideas from fellas here of which one could be the most reliable piece of gear.
It is very unfortunate for you that Sudden Ampeg Death Syndrome is so very common. Let me suggest that you get a Fender Rumble 500 head to use with your present cab (unless that too is blown up). Fender Rumbles are both rugged and reliable, and they sound much better than Ampegs too!
Fender Rumble 500's are extremely reliable; sound great, and are affordable. They are the market leaders in both their price class and wattage class. Indeed Fender Rumbles have been the very best selling line of professional bass amplification on planet Earth for nearly four years running. They're the Best.
I will try the gk,witch model is the best up to 500watt? Heard the gk mb 500 and didn't love the sound.i think about m3 carbine
I prefer the RB line, but they're heavier. 1001RBii, but that's just my taste. MB800 should handle anything you throw at it! I owned the M9 for a short period of time and traded out of it- a little too sterile for my taste, but a great amp....
Fender amps always made my P bass copy sound great back then. I see Rumble heads are not autovolt but could be traded off foe reliabilìty. Do they really have 5 years warranty?
Autovolt, meaning I could plug it from 100-240volts. There must be some other word for that. How long have you had your Rumble? I presume it had never failed.
I've had my Rumble 75 combo for four years and use it everyday. My Rumble 350 I've had for two years and is my gig-rig. My new V3 Rumble 25 I've only had for a few months. I use it a couple of times a week at my guitarist's house (it lives there) to work up new tunes. I'm happy
I would stay with Ampeg their customer service is second to none but if you are gonna jump ship look into the Peavey Tour 450 My co of choice for years
I do not have much experience with so many amps as access is limited, I think the LH1000 is worth checking.
