Need Second opinion on Chorus pedals

i need a chorus pedal. I have used the boss ceb3 and the digitech bass chorus . Havent been happy with the sounds. Cant pick one from these three Electro Harmonix Small Clone, Visual Sound H2O Chorus/Echo or EBS Unichorus.
any suggestions?

I never tried the EBS, but I've owned the other 2, and then some. The Small Clone is a classic, but limited. If you like what it does, get it. Otherwise, the H2O has a pretty lush chorus, and the bonus of a decent delay. 2 fer 1 is usually always a win. I would assume the EBS to be more variable, compared to the Clone, so that just might be worth a shot. Good luck.

i have the Clone Theory, and i think its cool, its not that best on the market, but i picked it up cheap and it does the job well, if a little noisey

from all the clips ive listened to, the ebs seems like the best option. the fact that its analog, true bypass, AND has flanger/pitch shift modes in addition to the chorus modes makes it pretty popular around here. i have a digitech bass multichorus, but it just sound way too digital for my taste. so im saving for an ebs

If you've tried a few pedals and haven't found a chorus sound that works for you yet, have you considered that maybe you don't need a chorus after all?

Alternatively: If the bass chorus is indeed essential, have you tried saying to your guitarist / keyboard player "Dude, you are stomping all over my chorus effect, sort your tone out"?

If that's out of the question, then chorus on the bass either isn't essential or is never going to work.

I've found the Boss Chorus Ensemble pedals are all pretty good on bass.

I love my CE-2 which I believe the analogman is based off, and these days at least in Australia the original is much cheaper and easier to get your hands on.

What have you not liked about the chorus' you've tried already?

I have tried : boss, carl martin Bass Chorus and Electronic SCF, you can not wrong with either Carl Martin adn SCF both are great, they are not cheap but you paying what you got.

the digitech was way too digital and the boss just was not cutting through when i used in live play. i also needed something that had multiple settings maybe the chorus ensemble would be nice because you can store settings i believe. ill haul my ass over to a guitar center and try that vs the H2o

The Boss CE-5 is really awesome. The filters really let you tweak in a bass friendly sound without any mud, and the controls are actually really flexible. I am REALLY REALLY happy that I picked this up. It's one of my cheapest pedals and definitely one of the best sounding.
