Need Some Advice

My honest advice is to disregard any health or weight loss advice offered in this forum...because none of it takes your complete medical history into account.

Instead, tell the doctor what you told US. HE is the one who needs to have the complete story, and then he can work with you to deal with all of your symptoms. You need to tell him everything going on - don't hold back - and give him the info he needs to work with you.

You are a young man, and this is the time to get this worked out. My compliments to you for wanting to take action - just make darn sure to take it in the right place, which is not on a bass forum. We can commiserate with you and offer best wishes, but we're not your doctor.

Thats not a horrible idea, but I heard that completely cutting out carbs can cause heart problems later on. And I kinda need the stuff that counts as carbs, because those are high in iron, and I was anemic at one point, and from then on, I have tried to eat stuff really high in iron. I know other stuff has iron, but since I eat carbs most of the time, thats my iron source.

this plus you don't exercise regularly, plus you said something about bad metabolism = your answer.

do the opposite of the first 2 :D

foods high in iron low in carbs -

Green Leafy Vegetables: Spinach, Asparagus, Broccoli, Collard Greens, Mustard Greens, Kale, Turnip Greens, Parsley, Cabbage

Salmon, Shrimp, Tuna, Oysters, Clams, and most kinds of seafood.

Turkey, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb (Pick red meats that are lean)

I completely understand, and wouldn't blindly follow all the advice given to me. I just needed to vent, and I know that usually everyone is helpful on here. The mental side of this is not as extreme as it could be. I can manage that. My big thing is staying motivated to work out and lose the weight. Thank you for the compliments! I care about my health, and want to make sure everything stays okay with it.

Here is the problem. All of those greens you mentioned taste HORRIBLE to me. Like, nauseating horrible. I won't be able to eat those. I also hate seafood. I like the meats you listed.
