Need some help

Ok guys i need some help and info! ok my bass has been screwing up lately..ill plug the jack in to my bass and if i tilt my bass a certain way nothing comes out of the amp. Now i noticed latly when im tuning my bass to standard for jazz band that the tuner wants to say my E string is a low B and i only have a four string bass so i recharge the batteries in my tuner and it still does it. I tuned my other bass in drop C and it works perfectly so it's not the tuner. So today i go in to play some jazz and i plug it in turn my volume knob on and nothing. I tilt my bass and it hardly comes through and the goes out again. Nothing comes out and it's not the cable because i tried two diffirent cables today and still nothing. So i was hopeing that someone could give me some information on what the problem might be and what i need to do to fix this. I have had this bass for over 3 years never did any real work on it exept changing string and stuff. And if it helps any my bass im talking about is a P bass...there is no make.. it looks just like a Fender P bass in every way but there is seriously no maker of this bass...its a mystery bass but it's setup just like A Fender P bass so if that helps any then there you go!

Hi,
It could be the Jack where you plug the lead into the bass. Pull it out and check the soldering. It could be a number of things really, but seeing that it doesnt work on your tuner either I would say that this or some other wiring is the culprit. Is it an active bass, if it is the battery might be flat.
