need to know bass licks??

I play for my church choir at times and for all our youth services and was trying to find some awesome licks/runs to use to move from note to note and make the slow, 4 note songs more fun to play. i can play arpeggios but need some more interesting stuff. anything is helpful. thanks!!

modes are huge for me when I'm playing music in churches and trying to add some fills here and there. I would for sure learn your ionian, lydian, mixolydian, and aeolian.
