need vintage j bass pu rewinding

A good pickup maker might be able to fix your pickups without rewinding it like I did on these 1967 Jazz pickups.

I'm guessing yours aren't in as bad a shape as these were. I have fixed a few dozen dead Jazz Bass pickups at this point and about half the time I can fix them without rewinding them. It's just a matter of reattaching the end of the coil wire sometimes.

Who ever you have fix this pickup make sure they know what they are doing and use the proper wire and correct wax potting process. It's a very valuable pickup and botching the repair could kill its value and perhaps its tone.
