You can search Craigs List by distance from your home to find some decent used equipment. Maybe a Peavey 2x15" and a couple hundred watts for a reasonable price. I've seen a Peavey 120w/1x15 combo for around $125. Add another 15" or 2x15" to it and you'd be good.
