Nemesis??

When I went to audition at Belmont in Nashville not too long ago, the amp I played through was a nemesis. Holy **** that amp had some balls! More than my Peavey TNT 160! Then again, I think that was the best one of the line. It was incredibly punchy and full with a nice touch of crispness....made my old strings sound new =]
I had an Silver Series N28S, wish I still had it.
My current head is an NA650. The only problem I've had with it was I needed to spray some Deoxit into the input jack to chase away some cracklies. Great tonal variation, lots of power, goes down to 2 ohms and a cool blue glow. I say yay!

I think I will. It will be my first proper amp so I wanted something that was good for the money... And it sounds like Nemesis is the best option so far
My parents got me the NC210 combo for high school graduation and it hasn't let me down so far (sophomore in college now); very solid construction, fantastic and versatile tone with the ridiculously powerful Eden EQ, not too heavy and more than decent volume. Wasn't sure of the price since it was a present, but it's a great small/mid-size amp regardless.
Yay! Great bang for buck as mentioned. The build quality seems to be better than their David series stuff. Don't hears as many problems + they sound great too.
I also have the NC410, plus an NC210, although I acquired the 4x10 in 1997, and picked up the 2x10 in 2006. Both were built the first year the Nemesis line hit the market - in 1996. Both deliver deep, warm, smooth tone for a solid-state amp, a surprising amount of volume for only 200 watts (the newer RS series combos deliver 320 watts), and a really nice set of features (i.e. gain control, integrated compressor, sweepable parametric EQ, balanced line out, effects loop, mute switch, tuner out, headphone jack, etc.) for a modestly-priced unit.
I'd pick up the new RS700 head if I were you. It should make you very happy...

I have a 1-12" Nemesis combo, 120 Watts, very clean and compressed tone, good flexibilty, NICE punch. No problems and I've used it hard for a few years. If I need to, I run an Ampeg 1510HE, and the tone really opens up nicely. I've used it onstage against some heavy hitting drummers and it holds it's own nicely. Obviously not the same as a big rig, but very easy on the back at the end of the night.

Good amp. I've used a 2x10 for 7 years. I don't know if the new ones have changed, but a repairman put a meter on the speakers and discovered they were 4.6 ohms each for total load 2.3, so I would be careful running an extension speaker along with the internal speakers.
Well look, a Nemmy isn't going to blow away an SVT, but it's a great budget priced amp. If you look at it in that context, it's hard to dislike it.
My Nemisis 4x10 cab is the best bang-for-buck piece of amp gear I own.... and I own a lot of gear.
