Nemesis??

A friend of mine had a Nemesis 2x10 (forget which model, NC210?) which was the most pain in the ass to work with. Something in the amp was causing a massive buzz and several qualified repair shops couldn't get it to go away without rebuilding the thing.

Not saying it's a bad combo, but he did have a pretty bad experience with his.

I have an old Nc-410 4X10 and the 15' ext cab

4X10 & 1X15 @ 400 EDEN watts, it will rock your balls off, I will never get rid of it!
Remember Eden rates their amps lower than others, this amp sounds more like 600 or so

My first-generation NC410 is actually powered @ 200 watts. Though I think they boosted the power sections of the second-generation NC series to 320 watts before they dropped the line and introduced the RS series, it would still be 320 watts - not 400.

And since the Nemesis combos are wired in series and not parallel, I believe adding an extension cab actually decreases the available power slightly - although the extra cabinet would of course more than compensate in volume. From what I understand, the Nemesis speakers are the real secret - engineered to be very efficient. That may be a big part of the surprising amount of volume available...that plus rating their amps conservatively...

I have a newer RS410 combo which I purchased about 4 months ago. It's really got a lot of great features for the price and it can get mighty loud when needed. Semi para EQ, the Enhance control which smooths out mids, Edge control(like a soft clip distortion, FX loop, tuner out, DI out with level control and pre/post EQ, compression which is not variable, and it's only 62lbs!

I had an NA650. My only complaint was that it weighed 28 lbs and had no handles.

I own the original NC210 from the first year they came out. It has performed admirably for almost 13 years, and I have no intentions of replacing it until it literally dies. Great tonal variations.

I have an old NC-410. There are higher performance and more expensive rigs out there. However, for the balance of portability, cost, performance, and tone; this one takes the cake. It is one practical gigging box, and will hold down most jobs.

A while back I found a good deal on a used Eden WT-300. I bought it as a replacement for my Nemmy NA-650.

Kept it for a few months but sold it as I much preferred my Nemmy!

Like Jimmy said, it's no SVT, but bang for the buck it's a great amp.

Only thing I dislike is the weight. I carry mine around in a 2 space gator rack back using the shoulder strap, so it's not too bad.

I use a N115RS cab with mine (would have preferred a 210 but couldn't find one local). Plenty of honk for what I do.

im sorry to burst your bubble but i had a nemesis NC212 and after less than 3 months of playing it at moderate volume both speakers and tweeter blew.

i replaced both speakers and then i got a weird low mid frequency which was way higher than anything else that easily distorted the speakers at extremely moderate level, even with my bass turned way down and compressor on. I had to use the semi parametric to channel out basically all of my low mids to make may speakers not distort.

well thats how it went for a while until about two weeks ago, when literally minutes before a gig the whole rig died on me. It got power, but no volume. so again i take it into the repair store to find out i blew 6 power transistors, and various other chips throughout the amp. According to the repair guy, pretty much all of my problems were probably due to factory defect . Needless to say, Im going to save the speakers and trash the amp. My nemesis was problems from the beginning.

i will say though, i bought it b stock from musicians friend so i have a feeling something was screwy from the beginning. I will say, my DI sounded wonderful in recording and live and I have heard nothing but good things other than my own experience.

i now use a Marshall MB450H which is pretty wicked...

My friend has played an RS115 at over 500 gigs without any issues. Sounds great in a four piece band with keys, guitar, and drums.

Used to have the Eden Nemesis 1x15 combo and ext cab. excellent hifi rig for bass, synths, drum machine, and guitar. Diff a fave mid upper end brand to me. Sold the rig after no longer had use for a rig of that size. Otherwise Id still have it.
