Operation is very simple, because we have just Gain, Level, and a 3-band EQ with Bass, Middle and Treble.
The internal "BASS BOOST" switch allows you to squeeze more bass from the O2 while the "MID SHIFT" switch allows instant selection of one of two distinct tones: deep warm, or hard and fast. Both modes are delivered dynamically and with great definition.
With my jazz it sets the very low gain, to maintain the same output level.
But you can create many combinations playing with gain and level, and the sound is always "true."
you never get to the typical peak distortion.
With the gain at 3/4 and 1/4 level you get a good sound mellow vintage.
Playing with the eq and switches you can create different nuances of sound.
The preamp with DI has a button to change the Mid (my model has the switch) .... this could be more useful if you plan to use both configurations during the same song.
The construction is solid and quality components! although it has a very low weight
I took it on trial and I really have liked with my jazz bass.
Also my strings are quite worn, they lost a bit 'of brilliance.
the pedal very much helps, giving new life to my sound!
