Double Bass NEUBD Yamaha Silent Bass SVB200

This forum knows all about these basses. I bought and quickly sold off a Palantino like 16 years ago, but I’ve wanted “one of the really good ones” since. I snagged this from Reverb last week and am very happy with it.

I ordered the specific stand for it from Sweetwater for about $280. My Juzek is in the studio in an outbuilding and always sort of a hassle to take out and practice on; I think having this in my front room will facilitate more playing and maybe I’ll finally actually learn how to work the double bass ;)

If you feel like it, a great way to upgrade the sound (IMO) is to put a Fishman Full Circle on the bridge and run it into a decent acoustic bass preamp. I got some great sounds from mine that way.
That’s worth a try — I do like the tone I’m getting presently, and I have my real double bass with a similar piezo if I ever really need to step up in tone quality
