I was so close to order the new Grace Design Félix2, but than I looked on the Neural DSP Quad Cortex.
There are 2x combo type inputs with switchable input impedance (max 10MEG) + phantom power and 2x additional 1/4” inputs (if you don’t use FX loops).
So basically you can plug into it DB mic, DB pickup, bass guitar and bass synth at the same time...
Outputs? 2x XLR & 2x TRS. Its routing possibilities sound like a dream for me - you can set parameters of each input & output.
EQ, HPF, LPF, phase reverse? No problem to set these parameters too.
The only thing that’s missing is possibility to connect 12V mics, but for me it’s not necessary.
As a hearth of my rig I’m using now HX Stomp for both BG and DB, sometimes also for bass synth.
So tell me what’s the advantage of Grace Design Felix over Neural DSP QC? Studio grade preamps - yes. But to be honest, nobody will hear a difference during live performance and when recording in studio there are already studio grade preamps
Before purchase I’ll wait anyway until Neural will update their software with more effects and a looper.
