New 2014 Fender Rumble 410 & 115 cabs

Something in my gut tells me that this whole new v.3 Rumble series of cabs by Fender are essentially rebranded (and slightly redesigned) Genz Benz Focus cabs.

Which ofc is an awesome thing if it's true! The GB Focus line of cabs sounded amazing, way better than everything else in their price range. I love my Focus 115!

I was able to spend some time with the 8 ohm Fender Rumble 410 v3 recently. My test amp was a lmIII, and I compared this with an 8ohm mb104hr cab, and an Ampeg 410hlf. Well, I gotta say that the Fender is certainly a fine 410 cab. It had a more relaxed upper mid, and slightly less lows compared to the mb410, but had a Nice mid- focus. It was fairly punchy, but not quite as "3-d" sounding as Ive heard with others cabs. Being brand new, I could see the tone opening up in a very nice way after break-in, though. The Ampeg 410hlf continued to show its feathers with extra girth, bottom, and depth. The fender sounds tighter in comparison, though doesn't have as much cushion under the notes. Gotta say, for 399 its still a very good cab. It plays very loud, too. May not be quite as efficient as the markbass 410, but its not so far behind, either.

I do really enjoy the sound of a well-designed 15 cab, and I'd like to spend some time with the v3 rumbler 115. The store also had the rumble 200 15" combo, and I was able to dial in a nice fullness & warmth of tone with some tweaking. It also seemed to have plenty of top-end definition.

I had overlooked the Rumble cabs, but now they have my attention. Are many here happy with them, or is the honeymoon over?

BTW, I tried the link to the Rumble Club (twice), but got an error message. Apparently, that thread is now gone?

Thanks Linnin. That link worked.

Who has tried both the 210 and 115? And how do they compare to each other or other similarly priced cabinets, for example, Eden EX series or Genz Benz Focus series?
