New A-Designs Pre amp/DI

Nice video!
The Ventura allows the best of your instrument come though... I recommend it for anyone wanting a channel strip type of preamp... And great Pro style DI too.. I always hate the term 'PRO" . it sounds contrived at times. . But there is a difference between commercial grade preamps and Pro grade level.. The same as there is a difference between Commercial grade , Mil Spec and NASA grade components..
In teh late 70s and early 80s i worked in the Aerospace industry and dealt with engineering and Commercial Grade, Mil Spec and NASA...
The A-Design in not your typical Commercial graded components, build etc.. Its top of the heap.. And accurate..
Its synonymous with API, NEVE ...
That Ventura is a piece i lust for ...

Thanks!! The Ventura is definitely in the BIG LEAGUES!!! Just amazing how musical it is and it really does enhance anything plugged into it. The EQ section is something that is blowing me away too, ridiculously musical.

Why would you assume I'm "listening with my eyes" just because I want to see a gutshot? Being interested in the construction of what I know will be a very well designed well made piece of gear from a man with proven talent does not in any way shape or form preclude my final determination of the units worth being made on how it sounds. What it means is I'm interested in the design aspect in addition to the sound. My god man what were you thinking saying this crap to me?

Hey guys, lighten up! No intention to offend any of you! I thought my comments were pretty focused: the new preamp looks cool but I'm really more interested in how it performs, not how it looks. Gut shot - check. Or not, maybe I missed that? Recordings of the preamp in use - check. Wait, that was a Ventura, not the preamp. So still waiting..... Thanks.

Totally agree about the ADesigns stuff!! The KGB would kill going into a power amp, I'm going to try it!! I'm actually going to take it on a couple of gigs coming up where I'm going direct and using in ears, I'm sure it's going to sound killer!!!

I use my REDDI on all of my IEM gigs... I would love to have the control of some EQ with the KGB I-f.. That would be Killing on a IEM gig..
I did a huge Christmas production this week.. I used my REDDI for my ears but i lent the prototype KGB that i have to the FOH to use for Keyboard Stereo DI.. They LOVED IT.. FOH originally had their 2 radial J48s on the KB..... this week he put the proto KBG on it . He asked if i would let them use it all week. He said the keys had much more clarity, punch and aire with the KGB.. I have no EQ on mine it simply a dual mono Pre / DI.. Killin products.. Just killing.... Im a HUGE fan

Just a quick comment, the KGB is killer. Mates very well with the amplite, warm and solid tone ... my REDDI seems to have a bit of "air" around the notes, the KGB is smooth and again I can only think to describe it as solid, maybe "woodier"
Anyway had to hit Peter up to grab one and I am very glad I did.

And this coming from a guy who just sold an FB2! I have an Amplite too and was thinking the KGB would be a really good mate....it doesn't take a psychic to see there's a KGB in my future.
