New A-Designs Pre amp/DI

And this coming from a guy who just sold an FB2! I have an Amplite too and was thinking the KGB would be a really good mate....it doesn't take a psychic to see there's a KGB in my future.

Always trying to go lighter the f2b is a beast, I didn't want it to go.
We have a bunch of Peters goods in our home studio, I was beyond compelled to make this happen.

View attachment 545379 Just a quick comment, the KGB is killer. Mates very well with the amplite, warm and solid tone ... my REDDI seems to have a bit of "air" around the notes, the KGB is smooth and again I can only think to describe it as solid, maybe "woodier"
Anyway had to hit Peter up to grab one and I am very glad I did.

Thanks for doing this man! The pre amp sounds great to me. It sounds a lot like the REDDI to my ears. Same focussed and warm sound.

Just bought my KGB and need some kind of power source for it. Just wondering where did you find your Amplite? Those are hard to come buy these days.

I have one of the Dual Mono prototype version preamp of that finished unit.. It will easily drive a poweramp..
Sounds like what you would imagine a Solid State REDDI would be.. If you want to , you can also cascade channels in this unit. ala. output of "A" into input of "B" then out of "B" into amp or recording A/D. since teh unit has some hefty OP transformers you can drive the transformers to saturation for some real nice saturated effects.. Its also Clean as a whistle...

Teh Mono Version has added EQ section.. That wasn't ready at the Alleva Coppolo . A-Design BASSACRE in April.. But this Blue one was.
Peter also changed the name from this the original prototype version from Gspot to the KGB for Keyboards, Guitar, Bass DI Great units!
