new acoustic micro & combo amps at GC

I second the motion.

I love the 260 head but am unable to validate purchasing it over the Ampeg Micro head because of lack of XLR and cooling system.

Build it and they will come.;)

Our testing shows that a cooling fan is not necassary for this low power head. It should not cause a problem for anyone under normal operating coditions. As for the XLR out, we chose to leave this out as the amp was concieved as a bedroom/practice/very small gig amp. We also do not have an XLR out on our B100 combo. Leaving these small things out helps keep it at a price point that is half the price of the Ampeg. We are very pleased that anyone would consider taking it out on gigs where a direct line might be required. I will keep an eye on the discussion and recommendations. It is possible that we could add it in the future if enough people want it. Thanks for the constructive feedback!

IMO this is a home practice amp, dorm amp, etc.--not a gig-able amp--unless your gig is with acoustic (no pun intended) instruments and vocals w/o a pa. I can't see it w/ any kind of a drum kit or electric guitar. just my $.02, ymmv etc. etc. Still, very nice and fun for what it is.
