Yes - I don't mean physical measurements or marketing specs, I'd really like to see acoustic measurements.

Every GC I've been to has all kinds of adequate equipment and software for doing this. Check out over in the recording gear sections. I bet there's a copy of IK ARC you could use.

I saw the new NEO cabs at my GC and was actually really impressed now I'm in a toss up with getting the neo 210 or the B410.
But I also noticed they had a new Acoustic Combo amp it wasn't very big, and I only took a real quick look at it but, it had several effects channel such as chorus flange and some distortion types, it was kind of small, and like I, said I only took a quick glance at it because I was in hurry. My question is, does any one know what it was, and do you know if there going to come out with a head with some nice bass effects on it?

LeeRex,

I am not sure what you saw. We do have the new B450 combo which is the combo version of the B600H with 2x10s plus a HF horn, but no effects. Is it possible that you were looking at the AG120s? This is the Acoustic, acoustic guitar amd. 2 channels, 4 inputs and multi-effects in a stereo, 120watt, wedge shaped amp? No distortion on this as it is designed for acoustic guitar players.

I'm pretty sure it was a bass amp. My GC has a seperate room for bass equipment and it had about 16 knobs a row of 8 on top another 8 set of knobs on the bottom and than 2 other knobs that said like chorus flange etc..... It might not have been effects "Channels" but it was an accoustic amp with effects.

From acoustic I'd love to see:

a sealed neo 610 w/ towel rack tilt back and at 6 ohms (maybe sans horn) -(like the one markbass makes)

please not at 4 ohms like the ampeg, etc. with one pair of speakers at different "ohmage".

also a sealed or ported neo 4x12 with or w/o tweet (like GK or aguilar) 4 ohms

i'd buy any of these these before buying an 810 any day. I think a 6x10 or 4x12 in one cab would be very practical all in one cab.

maybe also a compact ported neo 2x12 w/tweet 8 ohms (Like GK, Genz B)

pretty please...

Nevermind you were right, I just looked up that AG120S and that was the amp they had there, I'm going to have to stop by and let GC know that needs to be moved out of the Bass area.
But do you have any hints that could lead me to believe that acoustic might be making any effects driven amps or atleast an amp with some sort of effects;)

With many people using 2x10's and stacking them vertically it would seem a vertical oriented 3x10 could find a nice little niche if well built. Or maybe I'm crazy. Could call it the 'file cabinet' for slang... I'm actually liking that idea. Build me an 8 ohm 3x10 'file cab'!

...Brian from Acoustic here.
...Both are MDF to keep the cost down...A great value!...

Brian-

What you may not understand is the MDF is a total deal breaker for many of us, especially those who actually go on the road or have a busy local gig schedule. MDF is heavy, flimsy, and actually melts when damp.

And yes, I have heard counter claims, but seeing is believing, and I have seen this junk crush and crumble on nearly every cab made of it that I have ever used. Bad call by the bean counters, IMHO.

+1 million

Why must we wait so long for the obvious? :atoz: :rollno: :hmm: :spit: :bawl: :scowl: :p :help:

Dr Jim....they are REAL close....or so I keep hearing!:D

Damn I wish they would hurry, though...

+1

I pray they hold the MDF, too. :ninja:

:D

Trust me....the new USA stuff uses NO MDF.....thank god! I still recall the great deal at GC that I saw a while back...a 8X10 cab for only 299!!! Problem was that the MDF had collapsed around the casters making HUGE "ports" if you will, where the casters were.....:rollno:

In the above pic, you can see the new 360/361 and the "mini" which is actually the same configuration but loaded with a fifteen...
